Great view from the terrace. Beds are comfortable. Air conditioning working fine. Location it’s super good! Service very good. It’s near a beach club and during the weekends it gets noisy. Glass doors were not closing properly but our stuff didn’t get stolen or lost.

Here’s the skinny. We stayed in the “cabana”, which is the detached beach cottage. On the sand. Sounds fantastic, right? But here’s the pros and cons. The cottage “cabaña” has no closet or cabinets/drawers. No where to hang or store your clean clothes. So you’re basically living out of your luggage. On the floor. Also, ZERO hot water. And the cottage has a one inch gap that lets ants inside. A few of the ants were large and black. We killed a few. And the bathroom sink that’s supposed to be in the shower/bathroom is outside, in the bedroom, next to the beds. So you kind of wake up people when washing your hands outside after using the pooper. Adjacent to the cottage is a sewer line. In the mornings, it smells bad. Inside the room. Yuck. It gets you out of the cottage faster so you don’t linger! Lastly, our first night we arrived, a Sunday, there’s a night club next door with music that thumps until 11pm. And it shakes the entire cottage! We asked the staff what time they close the club, and luckily it was early. 11pm. And the next night, Monday, they didn’t open, so no music! Woo hoo! But you can honestly hear their super loud music throughout the entire hotel. So I’m sure it affects all rooms. Here’s the pros: - AC works fantastic! You can freeze if you choose to do so while sleeping. It works great. That was a must for us, since it’s hot and humid outside, even in December! — you can hear the waves crash all night and we loved it. Lulled us to sleep. - cottage is beautiful. Completely private. No neighbors to the left or right of you. Tv works great. Able to watch Netflix or Prime from the bed. The quarters are tight, but we made do. Luckily only staying here 3 nights. My wife and I. And two kids ages 7-9. We did do breakfast and lunch at a place recommended by one of the staff called Cenaduria Lucy. Which is a short 6-8 min drive. Lots of people there. And food is amazing and prices cheap! We did do a pizza joint in San Blas that was awesome. Called “el Punto” pizza. With the 20-25 min drive. Overall, I gave this 4 stars average, because it was nice. And the location great. Large stretch of beach where mornings and evening walks are perfect. It is Mexico after all. And for Mexico, it was fine. Would I stay here again? Probably not. Probably avoid the remote beach areas and stay in a bigger town on the coast. With better accommodations. A follow up to my review: I spoke with one of the staff and they stated the reason there is no hot water in the early mornings or evenings is because they are on a solar heating system. They do not have a water heater or boiler. Therefore, the best time to take a shower is in the middle of the day, or late afternoon. But in the mornings, on a cloudy day, just cold water. Also, last night our AC system went out. And the front desk gentlemen at 9 PM couldn’t do anything about it. This morning, when the maintenance guy arrived, he told me to just simply hit the reset button by opening up the panel inside the AC unit on the wall. I did so, but luckily I’m 6’3”, and I was barely able to reach it. Once turned on, I tried to get the remote control involved, and it would not work. I was able to power off the AC with a remote control, but once I did that, it would not turn on again. I had to reset the AC system manually by reaching up onto the ceiling. Luckily, we check out today.

A simply superb hotel with great facilities and a pool area that leads straight on to the beach. The staff were very eager to help and ensure it stay was as good as it could be. Parking is out front and not secure, though this wasn't a problem for us. Would stay again!
